Leeds Bradford Airport Reviews (7)
The airport is an embarassment for the great city of Leeds. Badly expanded, and lacks any form of prestige. Is overcrowded, lacks facilities, and only attempts at “piecemeal” remedies, supported by pathetically low budgets are ever implimented.
When it comes to air travel, Leeds is seriously punching BELOW its weight ….. Shamefull !
Drop off is a sham. Why the he’ll you have to pay to drop passengers off us beyond me. Hate the airport for that reason, per SE. Fly from here as little as possible.
@LBA, thankfully the flights to Islamabad have stopped so no more swimming pools! Links to other hubs are excellent (Heathrow, Amsterdam, Paris & Dublin) & catching connecting flights are not an issue with a wide choice of secondary destinations.
LBA
I travelled from LBA to SSH in November. The first time I have flown from LBA and I have to say it will be my last. The airport isn’t the easiest of places to get to (even though I live in South Leeds) as it’s all A and B roads. It’s actually as quick from South Leeds to go to Manchester as it is to get to LBA. Facilities are very poor at the airport, there aren’t many shops and there is very little choice in the shops you do have. There are very little seating areas when are sitting and waiting. If you are unfortunate and are travelling at the same time as a PIA flight don’t expect to visit the loo as it’s full of people washing their feet in the sinks – the floor ends swimming and is a health and safety hazard. In future I will travel from Manchester, even if it does cost a few pounds more.
Very Quiet
I both work at and fly from LBA. It is a very nice and quiet airport, their lack of inter-continental flights is sometimes a problem, but there are regular flights to hub airports such as LHR and AMS from LBA so it is a great place to fly from.
Good Regional Airport
I am Finnish and I live in Leeds and am very impressed with LBA. Flights are not as common as they are from LHR or MAN but it is a great airport to fly from as it is a lot quieter and a lot less stressful. Now if only they did flights to Finland!
Outstanding airport it’s a credit to Leeds and Yorkshire it’s easy to navigate your way round and it has everything you need such as bar, restaurant, shops and lounges. It’s easy to check in expecally if you fly with Jet2. Normally the flights are on time which is also very good. The only thing is it needs more parking spots because in the holidays we struggled to find one. Definitely recommend this airport.
