Great Airport
A Huge Mistake Very Disapointed!!!
I really liked Mirabel airport and I miss it. It’s a shame that the passenger flights are back to Dorval (YUL). That’s the biggest mistake they did. They could at least make more improvement for transportation and move all the domestic and Us flights there. This airport was much better than Dorval because the gates were closer, the terminal building was better and people were looking for arrival passenger in the second floor while waiting them. If the authorities kept all the flights to Mirabel, this airport would be the busiest of Canada, even more busier than Toronto-Pearson. Not only Quebec’s separatists decreased Montreal’s economy but for this reason too. At least I know that Montreal’s economy goes better but it will take many years for this improvement… I hope they’ll put the passenger’s flights back.
Yes it’s unfortunate this airport didn’t get its due course of consumer traffic. If the Quebec government was diligent in accommodating passenger with a high-speed rail service to Dorval. Used this airport in March of 1984 to head to Belgium – a very clean and simple airport. But its never too late for the Quebec government to reconsider full and active service once Dorval is overwhelmed, since land space in Dorval is limited.
